Decoart Black Gesso Premium Acrylic
Americana PREMIUM GESSO. Americana Premium Gesso is highly pigmented for superior, one-coat coverage. Its thick consistency maintains peaks and brush strokes if desired. Can be applied to multiple porous surfaces such as canvas, wood, cardboard, plaster, concrete, and more. Excellent tooth and absorbency. Tintable with Americana Premium Acrylics. Can be thinned with water. Fast drying. Flexible and non-cracking when dry. Acid-free and latex-free.
Apply with a brush or palette knife. Let dry before painting. Soap and water clean-up. For a smooth finish, dip the brush into water and then brush the wet surface of the gesso. Build texture by applying the gesso with a palette knife or by carving into it while still wet. Sand between coats to create an extra smooth surface. Add plaster of Paris to create interesting dimension on projects. Egg tempera and gilding cannot be applied over acrylic gesso.
